Aura McKay, Photography Instructor

As a photography instructor, Aura has worked with hundreds of enthusiastic hobbyists, total newbies, and emerging professionals.  She has presented at camera clubs and at conferences for crowds as big as 200 and as intimate as one on one.  Aura is totally passionate about using photography as inspiration for shifting perspectives and beliefs.

She is committed to the technical craft and creative excellence in professional photography and is a Nationally Accredited member of the Professional Photographers of Canada and one of only 9 people in Canada to earn her Certified Professional Photographers designation.

In 2012, Aura was among four photographers nominated for Photographic Artist of The Year, Canada.

Her students are those who want to move from being photo takers to becoming image makers, eager to learn the science and mechanics of photography in order to create the art they envision.

In addition to  presenting at conferences and camera clubs, Aura offers private photography instruction for individuals and small groups,  video reviews for feedback and style development, and travel photography tours and workshops.  She is currently developing a new schedule of lectures and classes in the lower mainland area – fill out her survey to make sure your photography education needs are met.
